Welcome to St James Netball Club

St James Netball Club acknowledges the Wurundjeri people who are the Traditional Custodians of this Land. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past, present and emerging of the Kulin Nation and extend that respect to other Indigenous Australians.

 

St James Netball Club is a long established and well-respected member of the Melbourne East Netball Association. Our teams train across the week at either St James Primary School in Vermont or at The Maroondah Nets in Heathmont. All games are played at The Nets on either Friday (Under 9s) or Saturday (Under 11s to Opens).

 

The club has grown to become one of the largest netball clubs participating in Melbourne East Netball Association’s Club Competition. For the upcoming Spring 2023 season we will have 22 teams playing across all age groups from Under 9s through to Opens.

 

We pride ourselves on providing a supportive and inclusive environment where players from beginners through to advanced, coaches, umpires and administrators, can all develop their skills and knowledge of the game of netball whilst maintaining a sense of fun and enjoyment. We provide strong pathways not only for our junior players, but also our young umpires and coaches.

 

Many of our players have been selected to play in MENA, Ariels and Eastern United representative teams. We have been fortunate enough to nurture players who have represented Victoria in state netball teams, played in the Victorian Netball League (VNL) competition and a Suncorp netball player also came through the ranks at our club.

 

To sustain the excellence of our club, we are always on the lookout for new players, committee members, coaches and umpires. Our coaches are supported with online coaching resources, Netball Victoria accredited courses and clinics run by skilled specialists. Our umpires are guided through the Netball Victoria umpiring pathway, with assigned mentors for all trainee umpires.

 

We are blessed to have a hardworking and dedicated committee that is dedicated to offering strong pathways for all our junior members. To keep our club growing and improving we would love new members to come forward to assist us.
